Can resuming adderall after a 2 week hiatus retrigger lexapro induced brain fog and cause panic attack?

Just been off of lexapro for 3 weeks and I started to feel better. My thoughts were coming back to me and my speech began to sound more rational. Since my college class resumed, I decided that Adderall would probably be necessary cause it is meant to help with ADD/ADHD. However, after just one day of returning to the stimulant., the brain cloudyness that I got while taking the lexapro has returned. Although I am no doctor, I do find it ironic that adderall would actually work to numb/zombie you out rather than organize my thoughts..In addition, I felt like i was having a panic attack earlier today ( I do have panic disorder) as my head/chest was beating really fast, hot flashes, the whole 9 yards, mainly cause a cop pulled me over for going the wrong direction. It just doesnt make sense that my alertness and thought processing is as bad as it was on the lexapro and my anxiety is worse on the Adderall. Any help?

Ask your doctor about adding “Wellbutrin” to the mix…it’s an antidepressant that is supposed to help with ADHD also (Lexapro did NOT work for me at all–Wellbutrin works completely different than any of the SSRIs like Lexapro or Prozac do).

Adderall alone for me = very serious, sometimes shaky, when it wears off…I would just baul. It helped me focus on how bad I felt. Having that anti-depressant in there to work with the Adderall has helped wonders for me (but everyone is different!)…see what works best for you. This is just medication wise…exercise and a good diet also help with brain fog!!!
