Does almond milk taste better than soy?

I've recently been investigating Veganism and it's health benefits. The last few weeks I've been transitioning to vegetarian and now I want to go fully vegan. Meat has been no problem but I use a lot of milk, mainly for cereal and smoothies. I've tried soy milk before, I think I got Silk. It was disgusting, there's no way I could ever get used to it. I've heard that almond milk tastes better, is this true? Also, what about rice milk?

Oh, I HATE soy milk! Every brand I've ever tried makes me gag! But almond milk is pretty good. I use it on cereal. I like the Almond Breeze Vanilla (the sweetened kind — bad me!) the best, but I've bought the Pacific brand ones as well. I tend to find that brand in more grocery stores, at least in my area.

Besides, there are bonuses for including almond products in your diet. Ninety percent of the fats in almonds are unsaturated, and the nuts are high in protein, fiber, calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin E, and other antioxidants. They're a good choice, especially if you're getting a lot of soy through other products, like tofu and fake meats.

Anyway, try a few and see what you think of them. And don't forget to compare nutrition facts. That will help in your decision as well.

Almond Milk is better, in my opinion. But I also like soy milk, so whatever. Good thing I'm not a vegan though, I get to try all kinds of milks, haha.

Depends on the person and their taste buds. They all taste bad to me.

I prefer it, Almond Breeze is the one I get. I do allot of Rice milk in my coking but it is "watery" compare to Almond Milk & good quality soy milks.
Very honestly rarely do I "drink" any of them. I use them in tea, coffee, other drinks, cereal, cooking etc. Give your taste buds time to adjust.

Definitely try more than one brand of soy milk – there's a fair amount of difference in taste. I was never a milk drinker, so I only use plant milks sparingly. I do like oatmeal made with almond milk – it tastes nice and creamy. There's also oat milk, rice milk, hemp milk, hazelnut milk and others. You might have to try several before you find what you like best.
