Flaxseed Oil?

I just bought a bottle of flaxseed oil from a company called Rexall. I was wanting to know what can I expect from taking this product? I have taken atleast 2 tsp of it so far, and I just wanted to know the health benefits if any I can expect from it? I have taken many pill form products in hopes of those making me feel better, and all have failed, atleast I didn't feel any difference. So now I turn my attention to trying liquid type forms now and hope that they will digest into my system or blood stream better and give me better results. So if anyone can help me with this question, I'd greatly appreciate it. Take care and god bless!

First of all, you shouldn't buy supplements without knowing what to expect from them. Also talk to your doctor about what you SHOULD be taking.

Second, what are you hoping to feel better from? If something is specifically bothering you, try not to take random pills to try and make you feel better. I am not a doctor, but drop me an email and maybe I can recommend something for you. Head to your doctor as well.

Third, flaxseed oil has a high content of omega-3 fatty acids, which reduce the risk of heart disease.

Flaxseed oil is an excellent source of the plant-based omega 3 fatty acid, alpha linolenic acid (ALA). Omega 3 fatty acids are an essential fat; they are critical to the function and support of every cell in our brains, eyes, nerves, organs and hormones. Research has proven that if you’re deficient in omega 3 fatty acids there is a greater risk for cardiovascular, memory and mood disorders. Our bodies are not very efficient at producing these fats so we need to get them from our diets.
