High cholesterol/weight question?

I just found out that I have high/low cholesterol 245/35. I want to lower the bad and up the good. So far I'm taking Fish Oil (Omega-3 Fatty Acid), Niacin, Garlic, and Cinnamon.

I also want to start exercising but I don't know how to start–or what would even benefit getting my cholesterol back to normal. I have an elliptical machine but I tend to get sooo warn out even after 10 minutes of use.

My question is *how* can I incorporate my elliptical machine into my daily routine. Is 10 minutes enough???
