Is there a certain amount of omega 3 fatty acids you need in a day?

I follow the right diet using the pyramid as well as advice from a personal trainer, I also take flax sprouts for omega 3 fatty acids. Am i covered?

    depending on bodyweight 1-3 grams of n-3 fatty acids is good. you also want to keep the ratio of n-3 to n-6 fatty acids around 1:4-1:5
